Drishyam 3 is the Malayalam crime thriller that brings Mohanlal back as Georgekutty, continuing the story of a man who has spent more than a decade protecting his family from the consequences of Varun Prabhakar’s death. Years after the events of the first two films, Georgekutty appears to have moved on with his life and is now a successful theatre owner and film producer. However, the past remains impossible to escape.

Georgekutty’s new film, inspired by the events that changed his family’s life, becomes a major success and unexpectedly draws attention back to his own story. As people begin connecting the film with the unsolved case, Georgekutty becomes increasingly paranoid and fearful that his carefully protected secret could finally be exposed.

The danger becomes more serious when Sahadevan, the former police constable who has never stopped believing Georgekutty was responsible for Varun’s death, resurfaces. Behind Sahadevan's actions is Prabhakar, Varun’s father, who has spent years seeking another way to make Georgekutty and his family pay.

As the threat closes in, Georgekutty once again uses his intelligence to protect his family, but this time the situation pushes him to an emotional and moral breaking point. His attempts to save Anju force him to make an extremely difficult decision, leading him to finally confront the consequences of everything he has done.

Drishyam 3 takes the franchise beyond its familiar police-versus-Georgekutty mystery and focuses more deeply on guilt, trauma, revenge and the psychological cost of living with a secret for years. Mohanlal returns alongside Meena, Ansiba Hassan, Esther Anil, Siddique and Asha Sharath, with Jeethu Joseph once again writing and directing the film.
