Bhuvan Bam: from BB Ki Vines to mainstream storytelling

Bhuvan Bam started by playing every character in his own sketches on a phone camera. Titu Mama, Banchoddas and Sameer Fuddi became household names, and BB Ki Vines became one of the first Indian channels to cross 10 million subscribers.

The evolution

Bam has since moved into long-form storytelling with the series Dhindora and into acting and music, while building Bhuvan Bam Studios as a production outfit.

Why he matters

He demonstrated that an Indian creator could own IP, build a team and move between platforms without losing the voice that earned the audience in the first place.
