Drishyam 3 review — the franchise still knows how to hold its breath

Drishyam 3 is built on patience. Jeethu Joseph lets the tension accumulate through routine — a shop counter, a police file, a family dinner — before tightening the screws.

Mohanlal's Georgekutty remains one of the great screen creations of contemporary Malayalam cinema: watchful, ordinary, always three moves ahead. The new investigative track gives the film fresh footing rather than repeating old beats.

The film grossed about Rs 242 crore worldwide, a remarkable figure for a Malayalam thriller.

Verdict: A satisfying, intelligently plotted third chapter that earns its place in the series.
