Panchayat Season 4 review — Phulera remains the warmest place on Indian TV

Few Indian shows understand small-town rhythm as well as Panchayat. Season four raises the stakes with an election, yet never loses its taste for the ordinary — a broken water pump, a chair placed just so, a conversation on the office steps.

Jitendra Kumar's Abhishek has quietly grown into the role of someone who belongs here, and Neena Gupta, Raghubir Yadav and Faisal Malik are as good as ever.

Verdict: Comfort viewing with real craft underneath. Still one of the best-written shows in the country.
